Musespeak Studio provides in-studio and online music instruction. Lessons are taught by Rhona-Mae Arca, a Registered Music Teacher with over 25 years of teaching experience.

Once you contact the Studio, you will be asked about previous lesson experience, learning goals, and preferred days and times for lessons.
An audition-interview meeting will be scheduled to assess fit, as well as discuss learning goals, studio policies, and teaching philosphies.
Once registered with at Musespeak Studio, you will receive a login to the Student Portal, as well as recommended books/materials. -
Rhona-Mae teaches:
Private piano lessons for Beginner to Level 10 Piano students (RCM or Conservatory Canada)
Exam-stream students
Recreational play students
Basic Music Theory (up to Level 8 RCM and Level 4 Conservatory Canada)
Advanced Theory (Harmony, Counterpoint & Analysis) for Level 9–ARCT (RCM and Conservatory Canada)
Advanced Music History for Levels 9–ARCT (RCM and Conservatory Canada)
Adult students of all levels
Group theory classes (all levels)
Adult Beginner & Music Appreciation class

Lessons are offered to all students from age 4 to 100+.
If you are interested in lessons for children 4 years-old and under, visit the Smart Start program offered by Tassanara Music Studio or Music for Young Children.

Yes. Students have the option of preparing for piano and/or music exams administered through the Royal Conservatory of Music or Conservatory Canada.

Rates depend upon lesson duration and subject. Information can be shared when you contact the Studio.

No, but the Studio offers a Trial Lesson pack of four-lessons. There is no obligation to sign up for the entire year after the trial period.

Most students take weekly lessons for consistent progress. Busy teens and adults may consider bi-weekly lessons.
Young beginners (7 years-old and younger) typically begin with 30-minue lessons. Intermediate students benefit from 45- or 60-minute lessons, while 75- or 90- minute lessons are ideal for advanced students.
Depending upon the learning goals, students may opt for multple lessons per week.

Beginners and recreational play students will use the level appropriate theory materials in the curriculum they are following.
RCM Students may refer to the RCM Theory Syllabus.
Conservatory Canada students may refer to the Conservatory Canada website.

Yes. Students need their own instrument to practice between lessons.
Students should have an acoustic piano that is tuned and in good condition. Alternatively, students may use a digital piano in good condition, with full-sized keys that are weighted and touch sensitive. It should have both a soft pedal and damper (sustaining) pedal.For digital pianos, the full 88 keys is ideal, although beginners can start with 61.
Intermediate and advanced students should have an acoustic piano.
