Rates

 

Engagement Details Cost
Wedding Ceremony Cost includes wedding consultation, rehearsal and ceremony (based on up to 1 hour for prelude music & ceremonial music plus the rehearsal) $200
Background Music, 1 hour No breaks $200
Background Music, 1.5 hours 2 – 40 minute sets; 1 - 10 minute break $250
Background Music, 2 hours 2 – 55 minute sets; 1 – 10 minute break $300
Background Music, 2.5 hours 2 – 45 minute sets; 1 – 40 minute set; 2 – 10 minute breaks $350
Background Music, 3 hours 3 – 50 minute sets; 2 – 15 minute breaks $400
Background Music, 3+ hours Overtime rate per each additional half-hour applies $50 per ½ hour above three (3) hours
Rehearsal, 30 minutes Rehearsal with extra musician(s) for any of the above functions $50
Other Functions Recitals, Accompanying, etc. upon request

Booking Agreement

A booking agreement/contract will be drawn up for every engagement. This contract constitutes a complete and binding agreement between the Client and the Musician.

Payment of Fees

A non-refundable booking deposit of 50% of the engagement fee is required at the time of booking for weddings and private functions. Payment of balance to "Musespeak" is to be made in Canadian currency, money order, or corporate cheque and is due at the conclusion of the final performance.

Payment for corporate functions are due in full at the performance site. Please make cheques out to "Musespeak".

There is a $40 NSF charge on returned cheques.

Special Requests

Special musical requests must be submitted at least one month prior to the engagement. In the event that the Musician does not have the requested music, the Client will provide the Musician with the music at least one month prior to the engagement. Failure to provide the Musician comply will result in the Client forfeiting the contract.

Cancellation Fee & Notice

Cancellation must be submitted in writing prior to the event. In the event of a cancellation, the booking deposit will serve as the cancellation fee for mitigated damages. Should the Musician be unable to complete his/her obligations (due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances), he/she will arrange for another musician of comparable skill and experience to perform.
